CABLE & DOMINO from #Deadpool2 Revealed!

Unveiled are images of actor Josh Brolin in full costume as “Cable” in the upcoming “DEADPOOL 2” live action feature film = a sequel to the wildly successful R-Rated first film! Also seen here are snaps of actress Zazie Beetz as “Domino”, released earlier last week, as PopcornX attempts to feature BOTH these fictional comicbook characters now made reel!

To be directed by David Leitch (co-director “John Wick”, “Atomic Blonde”), “Deadpool 2” is scheduled to be released on June 1, 2018 … BUT the hype machine and anticipation has begun way before this reveal (with No Good Deed), and is a juggernaut waiting to be unleashed upon pop culture again! LOL

Scroll down for a closer-look at both characters, including their comicbook origins!

WHO-IS “CABLE”: "Cable (Nathan Summers) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, commonly in association with X-Force and the X-Men. The character first appeared as a newborn infant in Uncanny X-Men #201 (Jan. 1986) created by writer Chris Claremont, while Cable's adult identity was created by writer Louise Simonson and artist/co-writer Rob Liefeld and first appeared in The New Mutants #87 (March 1990).

Nathan Summers is the biological son of the X-Man Cyclops (Scott Summers) and Madelyne Pryor (Jean Grey's clone), the "half" brother of Rachel Summers and Nate Grey, and the genetic template of Stryfe. He is from a possible future timeline, having been transported as an infant to the future, where he grew into a warrior, before returning to the present."

Josh Brolin has TWO current active roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - seen here as “Cable”, and as well he is “Thanos” in “The Avengers: Infinity Wars” (I’ve yakked abut it before) - to which folks have mentioned “double-dipping”, and perhaps the notion is intriguing, that of fictional characters being played by a single person … to which I can only add, if the filmmakers mention this in “Deadpool 2” - a franchise (now) known to “break the 4th wall”, and it would be utterly funny, and we can all be laughing at this, because it is not really something worth talking about, IMHO … but that’s just me :)

And no, Cable does not need a “bigger gun”, because he can’t hold it! Of course he CAN with his robot/cyborg/android-left arm, but that wouldn’t look as cool if his robot arm can morph into a weapon, innit? (*Which of course is not in the comicbooks, so there).

WHO-IS “DOMINO”: Domino (Neena Thurman) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character is best known as a member of the mutant team X-Force. Created by writer Fabian Nicieza and artist/co-writer Rob Liefeld, Domino made her first full cover story appearance in X-Force #8 (March 1992) as a past member of the Wild Pack, later renamed Six Pack.

In addition to her exceptional marksmanship and hand-to-hand skills, Domino possesses mutant probability-altering powers, similar to those of the mutant Longshot. She often uses her skills as a mercenary, but has also been the partner, confidante, and love interest of the superhero Cable, a lieutenant in his militant group X-Force, and a member of the X-Men."

I read online someone mentioned the filmmakers had “flipped Domino’s colors”, by changing positive to negative and visa versa, which is so true and visually pretty fun actually, and I am loving the ‘fro! It’s like it has a “life” of it’s own (no, not like Medusa’s in the “Inhumans” tv series, but you know what I mean :p).

I cannot wait to see MORE of Domino and what she can and will do, and not being a quick-flash-by character in the film, IMHO. They truly are notching up the number of ass-kicking females in the “Deadpool-Univers” / “#Deadpoolverse”, and I LIKE IT!
